The Executive Committee serves as the governing Board of the African Association of Accountants General (AAAG). It provides strategic leadership, oversees implementation of the Association’s mandate, and acts on behalf of the General Assembly between sessions. The Committee reviews performance, approves work plans and budgets, and ensures accountability. Members of the Executive Committee are elected from Accountants General of Member States and offer continental representation and collective leadership to advance AAAG’s vision of strong and transparent public financial management in Africa.

Ms. Malehlolohonolo Mahase

Mrs Mahase holds an Award of the Best Organisation Driver 2016, of the Finite Women Appreciation Awards, for the outstanding leadership and the youngest CEO. In her tenure of office amongst others, she hosted successful annual conferences which attracted for instance, the former President of the Republic of South Africa Dr Thabo Mbeki (in 2015), the Chairman of Econet wireless Dr Strive Masiyiwa (in 2016).

Mrs Mahase has participated and represented Lesotho in various forums internationally, such as International Federation of Accountants and the Pan African Federation of Accountants. She has presented research papers in numerous conferences and congresses, on Gender Diversity in Leadership. She also have addressed the Eastern and Southern Association of Accountant Generals ESAAG, on the Role of Accountants in the enhancement of the Public Financial Management Reforms.

Mr. Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi

Mr. Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi began his career in the Federal Civil Service in 2000 when he was appointed to the Service under the pool OFFICE OF THE ACCOUNTANT- GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION and worked as Principal Internal Auditor and Head of Internal Audit Unit  in the Ministry of Defence, Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center and Nigerian Navy Headquarters respectively, between 2000 and 2007.

Shamseldeen B, Ogunjimi, between 2007 to 2010 worked as Head of Accounts of the Nigerian Copy Right Commission and in the year 2010 to 2017 , he worked as Assistant Director in both the Ministry of Police Affairs and the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation and as Deputy Director in the Federal Ministry of Environment.

Mr Kwasi Agyei

Mr. Kwasi Agyei, the Acting Controller and Accountant-General (CAG) is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

He holds a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Accounting and Finance, and International Master of Business Administration (MBA). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Accounting and Economics.

Mr. Agyei has served on various Boards including the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Finance, the Ghana Road Fund Management Board and the Railway Development Fund Committee.

He has also held several positions in different organizations including Director of Finance at the Ministry of Energy, Director of Accounts at the Ministry of Petroleum, Head of Finance at the Food and Drugs Authority and Chief Treasury Officer at the Ministry of Finance.
